rain cancellation policy

Based on the following link to LOCAL RADAR (in current and future time) ... as of July 2009 our new class cancellation policy for Murrells Inlet is as follows:

  • No agility classes will be conducted in the rain.
    • This is to ensure the safety of the dogs and handlers. In addition, keep our equipment in shape and our field in-tact.
  • Obedience classes may be held in light rain/drizzle.
  • NO CLASSES will be conducted if thunderstorm threat is 60% or greater one hour before class ... this is to decrease the risk of having to leave in our cars during a storm on wet roads and due to the fact that a tree was struck by lightning recently at the Wachesaw Park location where we often hold classes (A bit too close to home).
  • EMAILS will be sent one hour before classes.
  • You may text or call Danielle's cell if you are un-able to get emails. 843.655.0232 Please note due to the number of clients in a typical class - only email notifications will be posted (no individual phone calls).

There have been canceled classes when the rain lightens up .... and held classes have been conducted when groups were stuck in horrible rain and storms in the end. Overall, I prefer to play it safe! Thanks for understanding.

We can all live & be safe to train another day!
